Elopement
Four helicopter landings. Every vendor, permit, and detail handled by us. You show up to four mountains and nothing else.
Four landings.
One unforgettable
day.
Our Best of New Zealand package combines the four most spectacular alpine destinations accessible by helicopter from Queenstown: a glacial lake above Fiordland, New Zealand’s most dramatic waterfall gorge, a permanent glacier in Glenorchy, and the most iconic panoramic summit in Wanaka.
Everything is coordinated by us. You show up. The helicopter, the ceremony, the photography, the flowers, the transport and the hair and makeup artist are all arranged and managed by our Queenstown team.
This is the package for couples who want New Zealand’s full scale. Not a snapshot of it.

- Helicopter charter — Queenstown to all four locations
- Licensed marriage celebrant and wedding ceremony
- 6 hours photography attendance
- Hair and makeup (one set, at your accommodation)

Where you will
be married.
Lake Erskine
A baby-blue glacial lake perched on a mountain in Fiordland National Park. Permanent snowfields in the background, year-round. This is where the ceremony takes place.
Earnslaw Burn
Mountain-top lakes, cascading waterfalls and the standing glacier of Mt Earnslaw. Widely associated with the Misty Mountains landscapes seen in The Lord of the Rings.
The Glaciers
Nestled behind Earnslaw Burn, this permanent glacier landing zone offers snow in any season. A striking contrast of hot sun and cold air in the warmer months.
Coromandel Peak
Perhaps New Zealand’s most iconic panoramic view: the full sweep of Lake Wanaka and the Southern Alps from Mt Roy’s privately managed summit. Pre-booked exclusively for your day.
How the day
unfolds.
Your makeup artist arrives at your accommodation. About an hour later the photographers arrive to capture preparations and your First Look.
We drive you to the helicopter depot. No strict timing pressure. The helicopter is chartered exclusively for you.
The ceremony takes place at the glacial lake. Approximately 10 to 15 minutes, followed by 45 minutes of photography at the first alpine location.
Three more mountains over the next two hours or so. Each landing gives you photography time in a completely different alpine environment. You will be dropped back at your accommodation afterwards.
Peak dates book months in advance.

Your day deserves
a film to match.
Photography captures the still moments. A wedding film gives them sound, movement, and breath. For a day as layered as this one, from the weight of the silence on the glacier to the last light over the Remarkables, a film is the closest thing to reliving it.
Our videography add-on is shot by the same team, on the same day, with no extra coordination required from you. One booking. One seamless experience. Three films from past Best of NZ couples are below so you can see exactly what is possible.

Questions we
hear often.
Two days before your wedding, we cross-reference seven forecasts and make the call. If conditions are unsuitable for flying, we move your date by a day or two. You will never be forced to fly in dangerous conditions. Wet weather backup dates can also be added as an optional upgrade at the time of booking.
Yes. Up to 6 guests can join your day in a separate helicopter, coordinated by us as an add-on. This includes transport from Queenstown to each landing. No extra logistical effort from you.
Yes. The package includes a licensed New Zealand marriage celebrant who performs a fully legal ceremony. Your marriage certificate is issued by New Zealand’s Department of Internal Affairs and mailed directly to you after the wedding. New Zealand allows overseas nationals to marry here with standard documentation.
In the vast majority of cases, yes. Weather is the main variable. In rare circumstances where a specific location is inaccessible, the helicopter pilot and our team will identify the best available alternative for that landing. We will always aim for the full four.
New Zealand summer (December to February) offers the longest daylight hours and most settled weather. Autumn (March to May) brings spectacular colour and softer light. Snow conditions are reliably present across the alpine locations year-round, so winter and spring bookings also produce dramatic results. We recommend enquiring well in advance regardless of season.
We send full styling and clothing guidance as part of your pre-wedding communication package. In short: dress for your photos at altitude, not for the valley. Most couples layer a warm piece they can remove for photos. We have boots and gloves available for glacier landings if needed.
