Are you considering to bring multiple outfits for your photoshoot?
Let us be quick and frank – Please keep it to a maximum of 1 outfit change, and no more than that.
We understand, that back home in your home country it might be the norm to do something like 4 outfits in a day.
The trouble with that in Queenstown is:
- On the ground level, there aren’t any places to get changed, other than your hotel and the helicopter depot. There are no clean public bathrooms.
- Getting changed up in the mountains has its own challenges, which we’ve outlined in the l
- Outfit changes take up significant portions of time, meaning that there won’t be enough time to get all the photos we want. If we have to extend the landing time on the mountain due to the outfit changes, it’s an additional $300 per 15minutes.
- Between May and October, it is simply too cold to be getting changed up on the mountains. It is cold enough braving the mountain weather in a dress and a fur shawl, it will be much tougher to be getting completely changed in the mountains, with risks of hypothermia.
- Some couples, especially brides, will insist that they are “strong” against the cold. The weather conditions in the mountains are not like an air conditioned room or an ice bar with no wind. If the wind blows on the glacier, it can be painfully cold, even for photographers wearing multiple layers and jackets.
If you intend on bringing multiple outfits for your wedding or your photoshoot, please let us know in advance. We allow a maximum of 1 outfit change, and if it’s anything more than that, we will simply have to reject it to keep the day going.
If you insist on having multiple outfits, we’d have to split the photoshoot into two days, and this will come at an additional cost of NZ$6000.
