This is our simplest package, for couples wanting to keep things minimal and down to earth.
The views of the mountains from the ground, are just as beautiful as the view from the top of the mountain looking back down.
Location choices include Coronet Peak, Moke Lake, Lake Johnson, Lake Hayes, Arrowtown and more.

Get ready at your accommodation
The Makeup Artist (if booked) will come to your accommodation in the morning to get you pampered and looking like the best you. About an hour after, the Nomad Weddings Camera Crew will arrive to start capturing the preparations and the First Look. The Makeup Artist (if booked), can also help you get into your dress. Go to the bathroom if you have to. There’s no cafes or public bathrooms on the top of the mountain!

Rendezvous with the Celebrant
We will leave about 30mins after the Hair & Makeup is finished, to meet the Celebrant at the ceremony spot.

Wedding Ceremony
Soak in the crisp and clean mountain air – It’s time for the big moment we’re been waiting for, your Wedding Ceremony. This usually lasts about 10-15mins. We will then take

Photoshoot
Your day’s not over yet! Queenstown is famous for both its mountains and lakes, and we’ve got to get more photos by Lake Wakatipu – the biggest lake in the South Island. This will take about an hour, and we will drop you off at your accommodation afterwards.

Booking Process
1. Get in Touch
Use the Contact Form below to get in touch with us, and ask us anything you’re wondering about.

2. Consultation via Video Call
Due Diligence – Is Nomad Weddings the right fit for you?
We will have a Video Consultation to discuss whether the scope of our services can meet your expectations.
3. Planning
Once we know what you are after, we will come draft the Wedding Day Schedule and suggest Wedding Vendors available on your day, who will suit your needs.
At this stage, we will also give you recommendations of local Queenstown Accommodation, Restaurants and Activities.
4. Booking Confirmation
To confirm your booking with us, an Invoice will be issued for a 30% non-refundable deposit, and a Electronic Signatures will be required on the Contact of Service.
The remainder of the balance will be due 7 days before the Wedding.
5. Communication
Once your booking is confirmed, we will send you two Questionnaires through our System:
A Speed Dating Questionnaire and a Wedding Questionnaire.
- The “Speed Dating Questionnaire” is for the Celebrant to write up a personalised Wedding Ceremony Script for you. Beyond this, it is still important for the Celebrant to actually get to know you on a more personal level, so they will contact you approximately 3-6 weeks before the wedding day. At Post-COVID Queenstown booking volumes, this is the timing to be expected.
- The “Wedding Questionnaire” is about general info regarding your contact numbers, accommodation details, preferences on online privacy, etc.
- Our Florist (Optional) will be in touch with you approximately 4 weeks before the wedding, to request for your floral preferences and to order the flowers from the growers in Christchurch.
- Hair & Makeup (Optional) Communication in Queenstown will depend on the vendor – there may not be any communication prior to the wedding day, but we can help to relay any requests to the Hair/Makeup artists.
- You will receive a series of preparation tip emails from our system. These are automated emails, but you are always welcome to reach out to us directly regarding any questions or requests.
6. Pre-Wedding Checks
2 Weeks before the Wedding, we will check with all of our booked vendors to make sure that they are ready for your wedding, and that they have all the details needed.
At this stage, you will be contacted again to schedule a Video Call with us, to ensure that any loose ends are tied.
7. The Weather Call
2 Days before the Wedding, we will make the weather call – whether to keep the original schedule, or to move the wedding back by a day or two.
For a Ground Level Wedding at Deer Park Heights, we can still go ahead with the wedding on windy days but if there is severe rain, we may have to reschedule.
We Cross-Reference between 7 Forecasts, including Met Service, YR, BBC Weather, AccuWeather, Weather.com, MetVuw and Windy.com.

*Important*: Your first choice of Location may not be accessible, in the case of sudden unexpected weather changes. Pricing adjustments may be made in such cases, for example if you have paid for a location upgrade but we are stuck in Queenstown, a refund for the venue permit pricing difference will be made.We will endeavour to get the most favourable outcome for you, but we are ultimately at the mercy of the weather.
*Important* : Your first choice of Wedding Vendors may not be available, in the case of a weather postponement.
In such cases, a replacement Wedding Vendor will be arranged.
Fresh flowers are ordered for the original wedding date, so a new set of flowers may need to be ordered if you wish to have the freshest product.
8. The Big Day
We will pick you up from your accommodation in our vehicle for the wedding, and drive to the wedding location and meet with the celebrant to have the ceremony. This is then followed by photography around the beautiful scenery of Queenstown.
9. Delivery
The Marriage Certificate will be sent to you from the Department of Internal Affairs.
We will deliver Preview Photos within 5 working days after your wedding.
We endeavour to deliver the full set of Photos & Videos (optional add-on) in 6-8 weeks. During the peak Summer Wedding Season, a timeframe variation may apply depending on post production capacity – if there are delays, you will be contacted with new timeframes.
Please note that we cannot make specific guarantees such as delivery by Christmas day for weddings around November and December.
