Photographers who live where you are getting married.
Nomad Weddings is a Queenstown wedding photography and film team. We have shot across the Southern Lakes for more than a decade, from quiet ceremonies at Kamana Lakehouse to heli weddings on Cecil Peak and glacier landings above Wanaka.
Your day is covered by one of our two photographers, Ayaka or Tomomi, depending on availability and the package you choose. We keep the crew small on purpose. Fewer people, more attention, a day that still feels like yours.
Every booking is handled by the Queenstown team, and Ayaka is a native Japanese speaker, so couples travelling from Japan are never working through a translation gap.

Send the form with your date and what you are planning. We reply within 48 hours, or 72 during peak season from November to April.
Plan
We help you shape a timeline and choose locations. If you need a celebrant, hair and makeup or a heli landing, we point you the right way.
Shoot
On the day, your photographer stays calm and unobtrusive. You get on with marrying each other.
Receive
Your edited images land in a private online gallery, 300 to 700+ photos depending on the package, ready to download and print.

How much does a Queenstown wedding photographer cost?
Queenstown wedding photography with Nomad Weddings starts at NZ$4,000 incl. GST for half-day coverage, with full day from NZ$5,500 and our extended full day from NZ$6,500. Queenstown elopement packages are separate and start at NZ$4,690. We quote against the amount of coverage you need, so send us your date and the kind of day you are planning and we will reply with a price.
How many photos do we receive?
It depends on the package. The half-day delivers 300 or more high resolution images, the full day 400 or more, and the extended full day 700 or more. Every photo is curated and edited, and you get them through a private online gallery.
How long until we get our wedding photos?
Delivery is 6 to 8 weeks for the half-day, and 8 to 12 weeks for the full day and extended full day. Turnaround can run a little longer during peak season from November to April.
Do you offer wedding video as well as photography?
Yes. Videography is an add-on to any photography package. It covers the full ceremony plus a 3 to 5 minute highlight film, and you can extend it to include speeches, dances and reception games.
Can you photograph a heli wedding or an alpine elopement?
Yes. Alongside wedding day coverage we run full elopement and heli wedding packages to alpine spots such as Cecil Peak, Coromandel Peak and Lake Erskine. Those are a separate package type with their own pricing. See the elopement packages.
How far ahead should we book?
Peak season runs November to April and books out early. As soon as you have a date, or even a rough month, send an enquiry so we can talk through availability.
