Weddings at Lake Johnson, Queenstown

Lake Johnson is a small lake, just 5 minutes away from Queenstown Airport.
Despite its proximity to everything, it is a bit of a locals secret that tourists simply don’t know about.
It is a working farm with Merino sheep sometimes wandering about.

During the colder months (April~September) the grass will be golden brown. During the warmer months, the grass will be bright green.

While it is a beautiful spot for photography, we don’t necessarily recommend it for Wedding Ceremonies as there are many loud aircraft flying right above the lake.
